Qingdao Shilaoren Seaside Park is a conceptual master plan prepared to renovate this central seaside open space at Qingdao City. It targets to improve and extend the existing beach to integrate sports, education, ecology, regional visitor center, and retail developments as a new destination. This master plan also envisions a grand connection from the city’s mountain trails to the beachfront, as an overarching system. It’s also working to increase ecological resilience by the improved ecology and a hidden flood- control dyke under the boardwalk.
